Kids and 3hr race results can be found here along with the clubs other results

From the president:

Thanks everyone who turned up to make the final Inter Club a great day of racing. We had 93 riders in total including many women and kids.
I'd like to start by thanking the scout camp for providing a beautiful location and great facilities, we look forward to working with you into the future.
I'd also like to thank our sponsors for their support, Orange Family Dental, DG Cycles and Tyrepower Orange.
All of us must also give credit to Matt Corboy who initiated the Inter Club series, it's been a great success and I look forward to see it grow through next year.
But most of all I'ld like to thank the hard working members of Orange Mountain Bike Club, the success of this event, as well as the ongoing improvement of our facilities, is a tribute to your energy and ingenuity.

EPA grant to clean up Kinross!

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Great news! The club has secured a significant grant from EPA to combat the illegal dumping at Kinross Forest.

We're partnering with Forestry and both Orange and Cabonne Councils to implement a preventative strategy so that we can target the motivations of dumpers, rather than just issuing more fines that haven’t worked so far (although cameras etc. might also be part of the solution). The hope is that this will be a sustainable way to stop the dumping in the future. I know we’re all really sick of the disgusting mess out there, and tired of cleaning up the Forest before events etc - it gives a terrible impression to tourists dropping in for MTB riding.

As part of the strategy we’ll be encouraging more recreational use of the forest by mountain bikers and other users, and hoping that more people - particularly families, will use the forest in a positive way and not just see it as a tip or dumping ground.

On that note we’ll also be using some of the money for better trail signage, clean-up equipment and possibly some landscaping/ ‘beautification’ around the carpark area – to discourage people using the area like it’s a dump. Ideas from club members around this are most welcome.

It would be great if you could also get in touch with me when you see any new dump sites out at Kinross, or if you have any information or insight into the dumping itself. Also, if you’re keen to get involved in the project please let me know – my contact details are below.

CWORBC at the Mont 24 hour

Below is a preview, click to read the full post

Here's some words (slightly edited) from some club members trip to the Mont 24 hour recently. If you have a trip report then let us all know of your exploits:

Some young locals entered the 'young guns' category at the Mont, their team 'speed demons' did well placing 4th in the category! Speed Demons were made up of: Baily Kelly, Baily Gorranson, Aidan Brady, Christian Presslaber, Cosmin Scott and Declan Kelly. They really got INTOIT (note the jersey's in the photo).

She Rides!

Exciting news! Orange has recently been selected as a destination to host the 'She Rides' initiative to get more local women riding bikes regularly - for fitness, to make friends, and for the freedom and fun of it!

Locally, the She Rides program will be run on Sundays from 11am-1pm over an eight-week period starting from the 12th October 2014.

Registration is now open on the website at and there's also more information on the program and ride leaders for the different locations here

The cost is $149 before 7th September and $169 for registrations from the 8 September to the closing date of October 3rd. Numbers are limited so participants may need to get in quick.

We will also be updating the Cycle Orange Facebook page at with details as we go.

On behalf of the local She Rides committee we'd really appreciate if the clubs and club members could promote this great initiative through your networks, including your club website, email groups and social media. We also need volunteers who’d be interested in helping out with the initiative this Spring. You can get in contact with us at
