2014 Meat Raffle roster.

This is a roster for who is responsible for running the meat raffle at the Canobolas Hotel every 3 weeks on a Wednesday night. This is great for the club for some income, promotion and fun.

We share it between the MTB and BMX side of the club. The person responsible is shown in the title of the calendar entry.

If you notice that someone's raffle date is coming up it may be good to just remind them to make sure that they are remembering it.

Some tips:

  1. Organise someone to help you with your turn.
  2. If you cannot make your assigned day then please arrange for someone to fill in.
  3. Feel free to offer to take a turn.
  4. Meet at 7-7:15pm at the Canobolas hotel
  5. There are 5 trays each night going off drawn at the same time to different winners (ie. multiple chances of winning)
  6. *New for 2014* No need to organise the tickets. There is a year's supply or pre-printed, pre-cut ticket books at the hotel. Just ask the bar for some tickets and start selling them from the next number available (and return un-sold tickets). Make sure you remember the minumum and maximum number sold so the random number generator can be set correctly.
  7. Go to front bar and get float($100)
  8. Go to food service area and get meat tray, it's good to have a second person to carry it around so people see what they're getting to sell more tickets.
  9. Sell tickets at 1 for $2, 3 for $5 or 7 for $10
  10. Sell tickets in a sequence as ticket machine can only take one series of numbers
Once you have sold as many as you can go to front bar and ask them to do the draw using the electronic display thing
  11. Neil the trivia man is a great help and is happy to announce the winners.
  12. If they don't come forward go and try to find the winner.
  13. Check the winners' ticket and get winners to write their name and number on paper (back of ticket?) and take to kitchen to put on trays. They can collect it later.
  14. Please return float (usually $100) plus $100 for cost of meat trays to the bar, the rest of the money must go to your Treasurer.
  15. Any questions then ask us before hand or ask a manager at bar.

Good Times Enduro - Round 2

Below is a preview, click to read the full post
When:
Sunday, 15 November, 2015 - 09:00

The meeting times are 'ready to ride'. If you need time to prepare equipment then please arrive a few minutes earlier.

Ride Database Entry:
Kinross State Forest
Meeting Point:

The city of Orange is around 4 hrs from Sydney and 3 hrs from Canberra. Kinross State Forest is situated on the northeast edge of town, a 10 minute drive or 20 minute ride from the Orange town centre.

Meet at the Bulgas Road carpark, Western edge of the forest.

Drive out from Orange on the Ophir Rd, before you reach the rubbish tip, turn right onto Bulgas Rd. Follow this about 2km to the forest (the road turns to gravel).

Note that the 'Directions there' google maps link below may not give the best route/destination. It seems that google maps ignores Bulgas Rd when selecting a route and gives the next closest spot. The 'Meeting point' link should be correct.

Show on Google maps: Meeting point. Login or register to get directions.

Focused on fun, high quality trail riding, this new enduro event will appeal to our regular competitors and those into Enduro-style racing. We hope to make this more than just a race against the clock, it's about creating the same vibe as if you were out trail riding with your mates - but with racing, bragging rights, and prizes thrown into the mix. It's not all about chasing split seconds, we're going to make sure you have a good time whether you're at the pointy end or if it's your first enduro event!
